How Energy Healing Works
On this page you will find some information about how energy healing in Josh's specific modality works. The page will give a brief description of the Kosher Energy Therapy modality and how Josh helps clients. It also includes some Jewish sourcing for those with a more text-based approach.
What is the Energy System?
Just as “the human body” is an umbrella term for every physical system, organ, and tissue, “the energy system” refers to a person’s energetic biology and structure as a whole. Similarly, the energy system is made up of its own unique and interconnected components.
The role of a person’s energy system is to bring vitalizing energy from the soul into the body so that a person can function. Every tiny movement, from wiggling toes to wrinkling an eyebrow, comes from the soul, through the energy system and into the body. When a person’s energy system is healthy, its various parts work together smoothly.
A healthy energy system is one that can be flexible, while holding structure at the same time. It can maintain its form , but is able to process and release negative emotions. A person can still experience stress, sadness, or other difficult emotions, but they are better able to process them, respond thoughtfully, and settle again after the situation has passed.
When a person’s energy system gets weighed down, it becomes difficult to process things like stress, overwhelm, and sadness. This can lead to physical, emotional, and mental symptoms such as feeling fatigue, anxiety, and physical pain. A stressful event can get stuck in a person’s energy system and continue to affect the person even decades later.
What Josh Does
When Josh works with a client, his job is to assess the presenting issue and find what lies beneath it. He guides the energy system in releasing what it no longer needs to hold and removing the grime so the person’s true self can shine through. A person can never be broken. Sometimes they just need to be reconnected to their natural state of wholeness, love, and acceptance.
Each session is fully remote, without requiring the client to be present or carve any special time out of their day.
Josh consistently begins energy work on a new client by working on foundational elements of healing to rebalance and strengthen the energy system. Within this, he tailors each session to the client’s personal needs and targets specific areas to help the client feel more like themselves.
It’s like tuning a piano before trying to play. If a few keys sound off, the issue may not be only with those exact notes; the whole instrument may need some tuning first. So in the first number of sessions, Josh works to help the overall energy system become more balanced and organized, and then we can work more directly on the specific issues you’re looking to address.
After this foundational stage, Josh works more directly on the specific issues, looking for the energetic roots, blocks, or patterns connected to what’s showing up. The goal is to help the system have more space to settle, shift, and heal, removing the issues/signals that manifest as particular problems.

Hashem created Man twice: the first time He created Man in His image, with His spark and incredible potential [1]. After that, He took the four elements and formed the physical body. He then blew that spark of potential into Man [2]. From here we see that the physical reality follows the energetic reality. That connection between the soul and the body is what we work on: the energy system, the blueprint of the physical body.
Our Sages called this the babua d’babua, an entity that glues together the soul and the body that interpenetrates the body, providing it with life-sustaining energy and acting as a guide to its growth [3]. The energy system signals the body when there are problems, which can manifest as fear [4], sadness, sickness, pain, or a myriad of other issues, with the concept being that when you resolve the issues in the energy system, the body will follow suit and heal itself. Maladies are rooted in the energy/soul of the person, and it is logical to resolve a problem at its root [5, 6].
